Welcome to Highland Hideaway Hunting. We are home to the best of Southeast Iowa’s Pheasant Hunting and Chukar Hunting. With over 1500 acres of meticulously managed and maintained Iowa Hunting ground, you can be sure that you will have plenty of action. Located in Southeast Iowa we are surrounded by some of the States best habitat, one thing is for sure when you hunt at Highland you will be brought back to the “glory days” of hunting.

We have worked hard to well diversify the land and habitat to benefit both the Hunter and the prey. We have multiple CRP plots, hedgerows, creek bottom, corn fields, and several other ideal habitat scenarios scattered throughout the Hunting Preserve.
Also found in one of our many fields is our Sporting Clay Course. We have weaved the course in and out of many unique habitat scenarios giving you one of the newest, most diverse, and most realistic sporting clay courses in Iowa. You’ll have a great time shooting the course in CRP, creek bottoms, hedgerows, over trees, or across one of the many ponds.

We spend countless hours throughout the year working to establish new habitat & maintain the existing. As long as we ensure that we have the highest quality habitat we can provide a strong basis for future Hunting development. We employ several methods to manage our ground & control predators.

Whatever your pleasure may be, you can be sure that Highland Hideaway Hunting has the Hunting Preserve land to suit your needs. We recognize that different hunters desire different habitat scenarios and we have worked hard to provide them.

Hunting Lodge Accommodations
No matter where you are located, we have top of the line accommodations to ensure that you are comfortable during your time away from home. The lodge includes a full service restroom with shower, a large lower dining & lounge area, a beautiful loft, lounging area, and patios for your convenience. We provide breakfast, lunch, & supper if you would like and we also provide fresh bed linens and towels.

With over half a dozen beautiful Whitetail Deer Mounts, several pheasant, quail, and chukar mounts, the lodge has been decorated to ensure that you get the most out of your hunting experience with us.
